Sunday Walks Non-members are very welcome to attend up to 3 walks on a Sunday before being required to join the Ramblers' Association. No need to book - just turn up at Much Park Street, Coventry at least 10 minutes before the departure time. Parking is free on Sundays in Much Park Street and in Whitefriars Street. The journey to the start point is made by car. It is normal to share a car and pay the driver a voluntary contribution towards the cost* - so you don’t need to have your own transport. Bring food and drink for the whole day, waterproof clothing and stout walking boots. Also, bring a change of shoes for the return journey and a carrier bag for those muddy boots. The shorter walks tend to be at a slower pace. If you are not an experienced rambler, you should try these first. Walks Organisers: Up to 7

Please make sure that you are fit enough to undertake the walk you intend to join. If you're unsure of your fitness level, try a short and easy walk first: it's much better to find a walk a little too slow and easy than to make yourself miserable and exhausted. Most of our walks are off-road in rural areas. Please have suitable footwear and clothing for the walk you intend to join - leaders may refuse to accept participants who in their opinion are inadequately equipped or unfit. For your own and others' safety please abide by any advice, guidelines and instructions given by the walk leader. Though walking is inherently one of the safest outdoor activities, no activity is completely without risk and it is your responsibility to behave sensibly and to minimise the potential for accidents to occur. |
